LOVE it: "hopeful thinking" and viewing everything as it's "becoming." As a parent, I want my kids to have that outlook too. My older ones are emerging adults and having hope for the future seems especially important during that time of life. Thanks for sharing this background. Your writing is a beautiful balance of heart and mind. I can't wait to read more of your work!

This is the real "hope in the dark" read I needed today. Glad I left it until now (any maybe it's a 'not yet' actualized?!).

Thank you for sharing this. The notion that we are always in a state of becoming (I think maybe Freire wrote on this) has been very liberating for me. I also was reminded of this quote my Jericho brown whose poetry is just ❤️❤️❤️. I thought you’d like it.

“Hope is always accompanied by the imagination, the will to see what our physical environment seems to deem impossible. Only the creative mind can make use of hope. Only a creative people can wield”

I love this. I often think of the phrase "not yet" in terms of anticipation. I want something that I can't have ... yet. But I love the idea of it as a state of (esp. hidden) potentiality. Not yet, as what could be. Inspiring.
